Benjamin R. Worrell

Ivor - Benjamin Robert Worrell, 87, died Friday in Patrick Henry Hospital.

A native of Southampton County, he was a son of Robert and Mrs. Pocahontas 
Richardson Worrell and the husband of Mrs Helen Horne Worrell.

He was a member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church and a retired farmer.

Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Aubrey H. Worrell and Fenton B. 
Worrell of Ivor; a daughter Mrs. T. Ward Tynes Jr. of Elberton; a sister, 
Mrs. J. Henry Felts of Ivor; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held today at 3 pm in Tucker Swamp Baptist Church 
by the Rev. William Kissinger and the Rev. J.W. Horne.  Burial will be in 
the church cemetery.  The body will be taken from Purviance Funeral Home, 
Wakefield, to the church at 2 p.m.
