All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ EARL MANLEY WORRELL NEWSOMS - A funeral service for Earl Manley Worrell was conducted at 2:30 Wednesday in McDowell Funeral Home Boykins, by the Rev. Harry Bunch and Rev. John Williams. Pallbearers were Fred Worrell, Marvin Cook, Charles Kirkland, J.R. Holloman, Bennie Bunn, Charlie Mack, L.A. Worrell, and J.L. Porter. Worrell, 54, died early Sunday in his home after a heart attack. A native of Southampton County, he was the husband of Mrs. Helen Stepanik Worrell and a son of John Q. and Mrs. Lillian Cook Worrell. He worked for Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Board. He was an Army veteran of World War II and received a Silver Star medal for gallantry in action. He was a member of Newsoms United Methodist Church. Besides his widow and parents, surviving are a daughter, Miss Elaine Worrell; two sons, Johnnie M. Worrell and Earl Manley Worrell, Jr., and a brother J. Milton Worrell, all of Newsoms. [Earl Manley WORRELL, worked for Va.
