He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs. C.Q. Ferguson, Mrs. B.F. Bryant and Miss Virgie Worrell; and two sons, P.S. Worrell and J.T. Worrell. Funeral services were conducted from his late residence Thursday afternoon at 3 o’clock conducted by Rev. A.K. Lambdin and Rev. L.E. Dailey. Active pallbearers were: Sheldon, Milton and Earl Worrell, Felton Bryant, Quinton and Samuel Ferguson, Dr. B.A. Pope and J.F. Porter. Interment was made in the Newsoms Cemetery. ****************************************************************************** JAMES HENRY WORRELL James Henry Worrell, a well-known and highly esteemed citizen of Southampton County, died at his home in Newsoms March 16, 1932. Mr. Worrell was born near Newsoms September 20, 1858, remaining at the place of his birth until 14 years ago, when he moved with his family to Newsoms. He had been in ill health for some time but bore his suffering patiently, putting forth every effort to stay up until overcome by weakness and was confined to his bed for about two weeks before his death. Early in life he connected himself with the Newsoms Methodist Church where he was a consistent member. He was a loyal citizen, a true Christian, a devoted husband and father and will be greatly missed in the community. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary A. Worrell; two sons, J.Q. and P.S. Worrell; three daughters, Mrs. C.Q. Ferguson, Mrs. B.F. Bryant and Miss Virgie Worrell: six grandsons and two granddaughters, all of Newsoms. Funeral services were conducted from the residence by his Pastor, Rev. A.K. Lambdin, assisted by a former Pastor, Rev. H.E. Marks of Capron and Rev. L.E. Dailey of the Newsoms Baptist Church. Interment was made in Newsoms Cemetery. The active pallbearers were his six grandsons, Milton, Earl and Sheldon Worrell, Felton Bryant, Quinton and Samuel Ferguson; H.L. Duke and J.F. Porter. The honorary bearers were: Dr. B.A. Pope, E.J. Cogsdale, Z.T. Bradshaw, G.R. Fowler, G.W. Miles, E.W. Bryant, J.H. Bryant, W.P. Harris, C.O. Ruckle, W.T. O’berry, G.P. Vick, R.B. Story and R.A. Bunn.
