He was a son of D.T. Worrell of Southampton County who survives him. He is also survived by his widow Mrs. Clare Worrell; five sons, Clifford Worrell, of Wilson, N.C.; K.D., Jr., of Ahoskie; Livius, Elmore and Fred Worrell, of Newsoms; one daughter, Miss Annie Maud Worrell, of Newoms, and a sister, Mrs. J.D. Gardner, of Suffolk. The body was taken to his home in Newsoms, where the funeral will be held this afternoon at the residence at 3:30 o’clock. ****************************************************************************** KENNETH DELAWARE WORRELL Kenneth Delaware Worrell, a well-known citizen of Newsoms, died at Lakeview Hospital, Suffolk, Monday afternoon in his 49th year, after a brief illness from pneumonia. Mr. Worrell’s health had not been good for some time, but his death came as a shock to his many friends in this section. Mr. Worrell was a quiet, unassuming citizen, a man esteemed and admired by his neighbors, honorable and loyal in all of the relations of life. He was a member of the Newsoms M.E. Church, and funeral services were conducted from his home in Newsoms Tuesday afternoon at 4 o’clock by his Pastor, Rev. R.H. Marks, assisted by Rev. L.E. Dailey of the Baptist Church. The active pallbearers were: Geo. C. Cabell, Jr., L.A. Worrell, C.F. Whitfield, Percy Bradshaw, W.J. Bradshaw, Dr. J.D. Gardner, J.T. Story and T.J. Livesay. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Clara Worrell; five sons, Clifford Worrell of Wilson, N.C., K.D. Worrell, Jr. of Ahoskie, N.C., Livius, Elmore and Fred Worrell of Newsoms; one daughter, Miss Annie Maude Worrell of Newsoms; his father D.T. Worrell of Newsoms, and a sister, Mrs. J.D. Felts and D.B. Rountree. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Clara Bradshaw Worrell; five sons, Clifford Worrell of Wilson, N.C., K.D. Worrell, Jr. of Ahoskie, N.C., Livius, Elmo and Fred Worrell of Newsoms; one daughter, Miss Annie Maude Worrell of Newsoms; his aged father, D.T. Worrell of Newsoms and a sister, Mrs. J.D. Gardner of Suffolk.
