She was the widow of Walter J. Worrell of Hertford County and daughter of George and Mrs. Mary Etta Vick of Southampton County. She was the oldest member of Barnes Methodist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Edwin Evans, Sr., of Como, N.C., and Mrs. Lee Gerkin of Richmond; a son, Ashby Worrell of Newsoms; a brother, George B. Vick of Courtland; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the Worrell family cemetery near Como by Rev. B.W. Coe, pastor of Barnes Methodist Church. Active pallbearers were Harry Barrett, Jr., Hugh Barrett, Jr., Martin Cobb, Ashley Darden, R.E. Drake, Jr., Joe L. Everett, Stanley Myrick and V.D. Thorpe.
