PAULINE ELMER WORRELL 

   NEWSOMS - A funeral service for Miss Pauline E. Worrell, a former resident 
of the Newsoms area, was held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the McDowell Funeral 
Home, Boykins, by the Rev. Harry Bunch, pastor of Newsoms United Methodist 
Church.

   Burial was in the Newsoms Cemetery.

   Pallbearers were John Aubel, Larry Hill, Norman Porter, Rodney Reed, 
Richard Reed and Jessie R. Worrell.

   Miss Worrell died Sunday morning in the Alexandria Convalescent Home.

   A native of Southampton County, she was a daughter of Jesse R. and Mrs. 
Fannie Vincent Worrell.

   She was a retired employee of the U.S. Agricultural Reporting Service.

   Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Violet W. Ruckle of Alexandria; two nephews, 
Robert Ruckle of Alexandria and Jessie Worrell of Portsmouth; three nieces, 
Mrs. Jewell Reed and Mrs. Virginia A. Worrell of Portsmouth, and Mrs. Gene 
Aubel of Springfield, Ohio.
