All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ SARAH LOCKETT McCANDLISH WORRELL Mrs. Sarah Lockett Worrell, 90, a resident of Copeland Park, Newport News, and formerly of this county, died at 1:15 o’clock Wednesday morning, January 12, at the home of her son, Eugene Worrell of Copeland Park, after a short illness. She was a daughter of the late Charlie and Catherine McNeal McCandlish of Scotland, and the widow of William James Worrell of this county. She held membership in the Capron Baptist Church. Mrs. Worrell is survived by three daughters, Mrs. P.G. Boothe of Newport News, Mrs. Essie Sarver of Richmond, and Mrs. C.S. Station of Norfolk; two sons, Eugene Worrell of Newport News and W.C. Worrell of Capron; ten grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. Funeral services for Mrs. Worrell will be held at two o’clock this (Friday) afternoon in the Capron Baptist Church, with the pastor, Rev. H.B. Jennings, officiating.
