All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ WILLIAM THOMAS WORRELL WILLIAM WORRELL DIES IN FRANKLIN Franklin, June 15 - William Thomas Worrell, 62, well-known farmer of the Courtland community, died Tuesday afternoon at 1 o’clock at Raiford Memorial Hospital after an illness of more than three years. Mr. Worrell, a resident of Southampton County, was a member of Vincent Grove Methodist Church, and a veteran of World War I. He was the son of the late James Thomas and Annie Rose Worrell, and husband of Mrs. Bettie Edwards Worrell of Courtland. Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Miss Helen Rose Worrell, of Courtland; one brother, Herman W. Worrell, of Courtland, and two sisters, Miss Annie Worrell and Miss Gladys Worrell, both of Courtland, and a number of nieces and nephews. The body was taken to the funeral home of W.J.M.
