All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ JOHN NORFLEET WARREN CARRSVILLE - John Norfleet Warren, 46, employee of the Cavalier Service Station and residence of Carrsville, died Thursday morning at Southampton Memorial Hospital from a heart attack. He was the husband of Mrs. Virginia Phippins Warren and son of the late James Henry and Ruby Mae Joyner Warren of Hertford County, North Carolina. He was a member of the Meherrin Baptist Church. Surviving him besides his wife are two brothers and three sisters, Gilbert Warren and Emmett Warren, both of Murfreesboro, Mrs. Brownie Askew and Mrs. Margaret Parker of Portsmouth and Mrs. Nellie Gray of Murfreesboro. The body was taken to the W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home in Franklin. Funeral services were held from the Holland Funeral Chapel Saturday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Edwin C. Thornton Jr., pastor of the Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Burial was made in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin. Pallbearers were Carlton Butler, Roger Butler, Herman Butler, Raymond Mason, Wallace Mason, Charles Arrington and Jesse Duff.
