JOHN BANES YOUNT, SR

John Banes Yount, Sr., age 58*, an employee of the Virginia State Highway 
Department, died April 22, 1978.  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. 
Virginia Harris Yount of Drewryville; two daughters, Mrs. Kay Freshner 
of Indianapolis, Ind. and Mrs. Linda Hoyt of Solsberry, Ind; one son, 
John Yount, Jr. of Lexena, Kan.; one grandchild.  Graveside services 
will be held Monday at 11 A.M. in Drewryville Cemetery.  Remains rest 
at the Echols Funeral Home, Emporia.  In lieu of flowers, the family 
requests that contributions be made to the Capron Rescue Squad.
