Zehrbach, occasioned by an accidental fall while Mr. Zehrbach was engaged in his work on the installation of a hydro-electric turbine on the Deieperestrol dam in Soviet Russia. Mr. Zehrbach was a former Franklin resident, working with the R.C. Motor Company for several years, later going to Newport News where he was employed by the Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company, and had gone to Russia earlier in the year where he was chief erection engineer in charge of four shipyard employees from Newport News who were in Russia to install hydro-electric turbines. He died from a fall into a turbine pit while on duty. Mr. Zehrbach married Miss Aileen Bryant, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Bryant of Como, who survives him with two daughters, Mrs. Fred Atwell of Arlington and Miss Jean Page Zehrbach of Hampton. Mrs. Zehrback had two brothers here, Ernest and Johnnie Bryant. ****************************************************************************** BURIAL SERVICES FOR L.E. ZEHRBACH HERE SUNDAY AT 4 P.M. L.E. Zehrbach, a former resident of Franklin, who was accidentally killed in Russia December 26, 1946, will be buried here Sunday. The body will arrive in Hampton today and funeral services will be held in Central Church in Hampton Sunday at 2 o’clock p.m. and burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery here Sunday at 4 o’clock p.m. with Masonic rites at the grave.
