Daughter of Eaton and Rebekah (JOHNSON) JOYNER, she was the widow of Matthew DRAKE (executed for murder of five {Dec 1840}, 21 May 1841). They were m. 23 Jul 1833. William and Mariah may never have legally married- all four of their children are given surname DRAKE in the 1850 Census (p. 313a), and "Maria" was given as the head of the household (#456). William "BLYE" - at 22, 13 years her junior- is listed as a farmer. She holds real estate valued at $400. [They are not identical with William BLYTHE m. 1846 Mary An BROCK.] Albert m. Nancy D. (1853-1913), dt/o Benjamin E. Sr. & Edith (WORRELL) COBB.
