All the dates given on the certificate are wrong, by a week.  Note the delay 
  in filing, which may account for the calendar error. 

Nathan's obit ("Tidewater News," Apr. 12, 1918) states directly that he "died 
   at his home here Sunday morning, April 7," and it was published two days 
   before the date given on the certificate.  A transcript is posted at:
