In obedience to an order of the worshipful court of Southampton, we the 
Subscribers have appraised the personal estate of Benjamin Adams, deceased, 
in current money.

At a court held for the County of Southampton the 8th day of September 1796, 
this inventory and appraisement of the estate of Benjamin Adams, deceased, was 
returned and ordered to be recorded.

This small portion of the estate inventory is included in the event it may be 
of interest to those researching the Adams name.  The current money was 
pounds/shillings/pence.
