SOUTHAMPTON COUNTY, VA - WILLS AND ESTATES - John Andrews, 9 Jun 1795 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN, I John Andrews of Southampton being of sound mind & good memory & calling to mind the certainty of death, I do make & ordain this my last will & testament. First, I recommend my soul to almighty God who gave it. I give to my daughter Eliza Andrews three negros, Bob, Lucky & Frank, also one feather bed & furniture to her & her heirs forever. I give my daughter Sally Andrews three negros Joham, Phillis & Joe, also one feather bed & furniture to her & her heirs forever. I give the use of my plantation and land and my negros Tom & Ted to my wife Ludy Andrews during her life and at her death my will is that my Executors sell my plantation and land and the two neg. Tom & Ted & the money arising from the sale of my land and negro Ted to be equally divided between my two daughters Eliza Andrews and Sally Andrews, and the money arising from the sale of my negro Tom to be equally divided between my son James Andrews & my dauaghter Nancy Boykin. My will & desire is that my Executors sell my negro man Coffee & as much of my peresonal estate as will pay all my just debts. All the remainder of my estate not before given away, both personal estate & negros, I give the use of to my wife Lucy Andrews dureing her widowhood & at here marriage or death, my will is that the same be equally divided between my two daughters Elizabeth Andrews and Sally Andrews. And I do appoint my friend William Urguhart, John Urguhart & my wife Lucy Andrews my Executors of this my Last Will & Testament revoking all other Wills made by me heretofore, given under my hand this ninth day of June 1795.
