Beasant BRITT, 
        will, 21 Apr 1824 (pr'd May 1825)

In the name of God Amen I Beasant Britt of the County of Southampton and parish of Nottoway 
being weak in body but of perfect Sound mind and memory do make and ordain this to be my last Will 
and testament in manner and form following  viz.  Item  I give and bequeath unto my Son Jo["nath" struck]- 
nas Britt my land and plantation whereon I now live Containing thirty Eight acres be the Same more or less 
to him and his heirs forever but he Should die without lawful heir begotten of his body[written over something] body I give 
the Said land and plantation to my Son Joseph Britt to him and his heirs forever and if he Should, 
die without heir to my Son William Britt to him and his heirs forever 
Item  I give unto my Son Jonathan Britt one Sorrell Colt to him and his heirs forever and lastly I do 
appoint my Brother Arring Britt to be my Whole and Sole Executor. to this my last Will and 
Testament disannulling and making void all other wills by me heretofore made.  In Witness wh=
=ereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal this 21st. day of April 1824 ["1825" overwritten]

At a Court held for the County of Southampton on the      day of May 1825.  This Will was this day presented by 
in. Court by Arring Britt the Ex'or therein Named who Refuses to qualify proved by the oath of William Britt 
and Lawrence Britt two of the witnesses thereto, ordered to be recorded

Beasant's father Benjamin BRITT left will 14 Apr 1783 (pr'd 10 Mar 1785),
