SOUTHAMPTON COUNTY, VA - WILLS AND ESTATES - Henry Blow, 27 May 1796 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Will: Henry Blow, Southampton Co, VA (1796) IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN, I Henry Blow of the County of Southampton being sick and low in body but of sound mind & memory, thanks be to God for the same, do make & ordain this my last will & testament in manner & form following (to wit): first I recommend my soul into the hands of the almighty God who gave it me, my body to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executors hereafter named, & as touching such worldly goods as it hath bless'd God to bless me with, I dispose hereof in the following manner, viz: Item: I lend unto my loving wife Sally Blow during her widowhood (or untill one of my two children, namely: Susan Blow & William Blow shall come of lawful age or marry) the use of all my slaves with there increase from the date hereof also two feather beds & furniture, one hors, saddle & bridle, two cows & calves, twenty five barrels of corn & one thousand lbs of pork out of the crop which is now growing & that my loving wife for the use of the above estate which I have lent her shall board school & maintain my two children as above named during her wodowhood, and further it is my will desire that when my loving wife shall marry or one of my children shall come of lawful age or marry, that all that part of my estate which I have lent my loving wife, be equally divided between my wife & children. Item: I further lend unto my loving wife that part of my estate which shall then fall to her after division shall take place between her & my children during her natural life & at her death, to be equally divided between my children, to them & heirs forever. Item: It is my will and desire that all the residue of my estate be sold by my Executors & the mony arising therefrom to satisfy my just debts & the surplus, if any, to be apply'd for the support of loving children by my Executors. Item: Lastly, I do constitute and appoint my two brothers Micajar Blow, Thomas R. Blow & my brother in law Owen Myrick my whole & sole Executors of this my Last Will and Testament, revoking all other Wills by me heretofore made, declaring this & this only to be my Last Will and Testament.
