SOUTHAMPTON COUNTY, VA - WILLS AND ESTATES - Anne Bracy, 22 Jan 1800

IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN, I Anne Bracy of Southampton county, state of Virginia
being weak in body at present but of sound and perfect mind and memory, thanks
be to almighty God for the same, and calling to mind the mortality of my body
and knowing it is appointed for all to die, do make and ordain this my last
will and testament.

Vizt: First of all I desire that all my debts and funeral charges be paid &
discharged.

Item, I give and bequeath unto my brother Francis Bracy & his heirs five
shillings cash.

Item, I give & bequeath unto my sister Mary Wright & her heirs five shillings
cash.

Item, I give & bequeath unto my sister Elizabeth Beal five shillings cash.

Item, I give & bequeath unto my sister Miriam Edwards & her heirs one negro
woman Venus and child Juda with the whole of my property after legacies &
debts are paid of (off).

I likewise constitute and appoinit my friend Kinchin Edwards the whole and
sole Executor of this my Last Will and Testament given under my hand and seal
this 22nd day of January one thousand eight hundred.

                      the 17th day of February 1800

This Will was presented in court by Kinchin Edwards, the Executor therein
named, prov'd by the oaths of the witnesses thereto and ordered to be
recorded.  And on the motion of the said Executor who made oath according to
law, a Certificate is granted him for obtaining a Probat thereof in due form.
