SOUTHAMPTON COUNTY, VA - WILLS AND ESTATES - Ogborn Branch, 23 Dec 1786

Wills: Ogborn Branch, Nottoway Parish, Southampton Co, VA (1785)

IN THE NAME OF GOD amen, I Ogborn Branch of Nottoway Parish in the County 
of Southampton bieng sick and weak but of perfect mind and memory do make 
& ordain this as for my Last Will and Testament & dispose of my estate as 
followeth:

I give to my beloved wife Sarah the use of all my estate of what kind or
nature soever for and during her natural life and after her death my 
desire is that it may be equally divided amongst my three sons, e.g. 
Arthur, Moses and William & their heirs forever revoking all other Wills 
by me made heretofore, & I do constitute and appoint my friend Joshua Wood 
Executor of this my Last Will and Testament.

IN WITNESS whereof I have set my hand & seal this 23rd day of December 1776

to be the Last Will and Testament
of Ogborn Branch before us:

                     At a Court held for the County of Southampton
                            the 15th day of April 1785

This Will was presented in Court and proved by the oaths of Charles Briggs, 
one of the witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded.  And on the motion 
of Moses Branch who made oath according to law certificate is granted him 
for obtaining letter of administration on the estate of Ogborn Branch, 
deceased, with the Will annexed/the Executor Joshua Wood being deceased 
giving security whereupon &c.
