I give the said Land and Plantation to my grandson Jordan Birtt Son of Jese Britt, with this reserve that my daughter in law Mary Britt wife of said John Britt to have her single life or widowhood on the said plantation but not so as to prevent the said Jordan shall have a right to work the same when he arrives to the age of twenty one years old or when his father thinks proper to give him freedom. Item I give my son Jese Britt and his heirs the land and plantation he now lives on __ Item I give my son Nathan Britt and his heirs the land and plantation whereon he now lives. I them give lend the Land and plantation whereon I now Live to my dearly beloved wife Elizabeth Britt, during her Life or Widowhood with the reserve that my two Daughters Emmy Britt and Elizabeth Britt. Shall have their single lives on the land plantation and also my son William G Britt to have a right to live on the same, and the death or marriage of my said wife, my two daughters Emmy and Elizabeth [page break] Britt. I give the said land to my son William G Britt and his heirs but if the said William G Britt should be without an heir Lawfully begotten the said land to be equally divided among my surviving sons__ I them give my Daughter Emmy Britt one feather bed and furniture and one cow and calf of my estate. I also give my Daughter Elizabeth Britt one feather bed and furniture and one cow and calf… The remainder of my estate I lend to my wife, Elizabeth Britt during her life or widowhood and at the death of my wife. I leave the property lent to my Wife to be equally divided between by four Daughters Emmy Britt, Rhoda Gillium, Cherry Jones, and Elizabeth Britt. I also do make this reserve that the debts that I owe at my death be paid by my son William G Britt as the Land left him is more than an equal share with the rest. I also nominate and appoint my two sons Nathan Britt and William G Britt and Jacob Barrett Executors to this my Last will and testament in witness whereof I hereunto Set my hand and Seal this ___ day of ___ in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Eleven.
