JOHN BOYKIN SR WILL In the name of God Amen, I John Boykin Senior of the county of Southampton in the Parrish of Nottoway being sick & weak, but of sound mind & perfect memory do make & ordain this to be my last will and testament. Viz After recommending my soul to Almighty God that gave it me & my body to the earth to be buried in a Christian like manner at the descretion of my executors hereafter named. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Cherry Eley, wife of Robert Eley, Twenty Shillings and all other things she has had in possession to her and her heirs forever. I give and bequeath unto my son Matthew Boykin Twenty Shillings and all other things he had in possession to him and his heirs forever. I give and bequeath unto my son John Boykin Twenty Shillings and all other things he has had in possession to him and his heirs forever. I give and bequeath unto my son Joel Boykin one hundred fifty acres of land lying on the south side of Tuckers Swamp which he has in possession & Twenty Shillings and all other things he had in possession to him and his heirs forever. I give and bequeath unto my son Daniel Boykin the plantation he now lives on and all the land thereunto belonging and Thirty pounds cash and all other things he has had in possession to him and his heirs forever. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Patience Turner the wife of Jacob Turner Twenty Shillings and all other things she has had in possession to her and her heirs forever. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth Boykin one negro boy named Jordan & one negro girl named Patt also one bed & furniture which she now calls her own and Ten pounds cash to her and her heirs forever. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Martha Vick wife of Thomas Vick Twenty Shillings and all other things she has had in possession to her and her heirs forever. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Ava Branch wife of Wm. Branch Twenty Shillings and all other things she has had in possession to her and heirs forever. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Kiziah Boykin one negro boy named Simon and one negro girl named Beck and one bed & furniture & Ten pounds cash to her and her heirs forever. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Sarah Sherod the wife of Arthur Sherod Twenty Shillings and all other things she has had in possession to her & her heirs forever. I give and bequeath unto son Ely Boykin my land & plantation whereon I now live and all app? thereunto belonging and my stile and one negro man named Sam & one named Dick & one named Ben one boy named Ned & one named Dick one negro woman named Phillis & one names Amy & one named Jude & one named Judah one negro boy named Jerry & one named Jack one named Charles & one named Andrew and all their increase and all and every kind of my stock horses cattle hoggs & sheep & household furniture and all the remainder part of my estate in whatever it consisteth or where ever it be found to him and his heirs forever.
