This is my will that Thomas S.CHARLES my brother shall at my death take 
possession of all that I, own and out of it he is to pay all my just debts, 
and have me plainly buried (not expensively) and after this is done, all that 
is left of my property, and all that belongs to me I leave to my brother 
Thomas S. CHARLES. 
Written with my own hand this the 17.th day of November 1898

A writing purporting to be the last will and testament of John E. CHARLES 
decd., was produced in court, and proved by the oaths of L.E. WORRELL one of 
the subscribing witnesses thereto, (the other Witness J.W. GRIFFIN not being 
found) and ordered to be recorded as the last will and testament of the said 
John E. CHARLES decd.
