Will-: I George COLLIAR of the parish of Notoway and county of S'hampton being weak in body but of perfect & sound mind & memory Thanks be given to Almighty God for the same, do make and ord'in this my last will and Testament in manner and form following, first and principally I give and bequeath my Soul into the hands of Almighty God my Creator hoping through the merritts [altered from "mercy"] of my blessed Saviour to attain Everlasting life, and as for my worldly Estate I give and bequeath in manner & form following Item I lend to my loving wife Jane COLLIAR all my Estate both real and personal (to say) all my lands and negros stock & Household goods or any thing else of what kind or Quality soever to her during her natural life and after her decease I give all my aforesaid estate to be equally Divided among my three Daughters in Quantity and quallity (to say) Rebecca COLLIAR & Ann COLLIAR & Sarah COLLIAR: the same to them & their Heirs forever Item but in case either of my aforesaid Children aforementioned die before She come to lawfull age or without Heir in that case I give her part of my estate to be equally divided between her other two Sisters then living the same to them and their heirs forever [page break] Item but in case twou [sic] of my aforesaid Daughters die without [p.] 101 heir or before they come to lawfull age in that case I give her [sic] part of my estate to the surviving Sister and to her heirs forever Item but in case all my aforementioned Children die without heirs then living, in that case I give all my aforementioned estate, both real and personal (to say) all my lands and Negroes and stock and all other of my estate of what kind or Quality soever after my wife Jane COLLIAR decease to my godson George LANKFORD son of my sister Mary LANKFORD the same to him and his Heirs forever Item but in case my Godson George LANKFORD die without heir in that case I give all my aforementioned estate both real and personal which I gave to the abo'said George LANKFORD to his Brother Thomas LANKFORD son of my sister Mary LANKFORD my other Godson the same to him & his heirs forever Item but in case the said Thomas LANKFORD die without heir: in that case I give all my aforesaid Estate both real and personal aforementioned to my Brother in law Thomas LANKFORD and to my sister Mary LANKFORD wife of the said Thomas LANKFORD the same to them and their heirs forever Lastly I make constitute ordain and appoint my loving wife Jane COLLIAR my whole & sole Executrix of this my last Will and testament revoking and disannulling and making void all other Will [altered from "Wills"] or wills by me heretofore made or declared In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 6[th] day of July 1757 George COLLIAR *seal* Signed sealed published an [sic] declared in presence of us Hardy LAWRENCE George LAWRENCE Tho.s LANKFORD Ju.r At a court held for the county of Southampton the 13 day Sept 1764 This will was presented in court by Georg COLLIAR [sic!] proved by the oaths of Hardy LAWRENCE George LAWRENCE & Tho.s LANKFORD Ju.r the witnesse thereto and ordered to be recorded, and on the motion of the said George who made oath according to law certificate is granted him for obtain letters of administration the said decedents estate with the will annexed Test : R.
