Maria (JOYNER) DRAKE, (1803-1878), will dated 28 Dec 1877, recorded 16 Dec 1878 

I Maria Drake of the County of Southampton and state of Virginia do hereby make 
my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say 
1st  I desire that my tract of land containing forty four acres and also my 
personall(sic) estate shall be equally divided between my six children, viz, 
Albert Blythe, Joseph Blythe, John Blythe, Richard Blythe, Temperance Blythe, 
Georgiana Blythe, at my death.
In witness thereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 28th 
day of December 1877.

At a court held for the County of Southampton on the 16th day of December A.D. 
1878 this last will and testament of Maria Drake deceased was proved by the 
oaths of William Faircloth and Julia E. Faircloth two of the subscribing 
witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded.
