SOUTHAMPTON COUNTY, VA - WILLS AND ESTATES - Winnifred Drake, 14 Jul 1800

I, Winnifred Drake, of the county of Southampton being in a low state of
health but perfect in memory and mind do make this my last will and testament,
that is to say, I give, desire and dispose of in the following manner:

Item: I give and bequeath unto my daughters Molly Woddill, Honor Pope & Tellah
Pope each five shillings to them and their heirs forever.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my sons Jordan & Jonas Drake each five
shillings to them and their heirs forever.

Item: I give and bequeath unto my son Joel Drake the land and plantation
whereon I now live together with all the rest of my estate to him and his
heirs forever.

And I do hereby constitute, make and ordain my son Joel Drake my Executor to
this my Last Will and testament.

IN WITNESS whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fourteenth day of
July one thousand eight hundred.

                        the __(blank) day of December 1800

This Will was proved by the oath of Eli Eley, one of the witnesses thereto and 
continued.

And                   At a Court held for the County of Southampton
                        the 19th day of January 1801

This Will was fully proved by the oaths of Benjamin Bryant & Edwin Harris, the
other witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded.  And on the motion of Joel
Drake & John Johnson, the Executors therein named, who made oath according to
law, Probat is granted them in due form giving security, whereupon &c&c
