SOUTHAMPTON COUNTY, VA - WILLS AND ESTATES - Susan Drew, 6 Nov 1800

IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN, I Susan Drew, knowing my life is very uncertain and
now being unwell though sound in mind and memory, do make this my last will
and testament revoking all others heretofore made.  This my will to take place
from sixth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred.

Item: It (is) my will and desire that all my just debts be paid.

Item: I lend to my beloved sister Peggy Simmons, for the tenderness I bear for
her as a sister, the use of my negro man Natt I now own during her natural
life, after or at the death of my sister Peggy Simmons, I give and bequeath to
my nephew William Drew Simmons for respect I have for him, the negro man Natt,
I now lend to my sister Simmons to him and his heirs forever.

Item: I give all my money that was left me by my friend Sally Jones, after all
my just debts are paid to be equally divided between my two sisters Sally and
Priscilla Drew and their heirs forever.  I also do appoint and nominate (my)
friend William Wright my whole and sole Executor to this my Last Will and
Testament, given from under my hand and seal this sixth day of November 1800.

               At a Court held for the County of Southampton
                      the 20th day of April 1801

This Will was proved by the oath of Jesse Drew, one of the witnesses thereto
and ordered to be recorded and on the motion of William Wright, the Executor
therein named who made oath according to law, Probat is granted him in due
form giving security, whereupon &c&c.
