EDMUNDS, Howell. Leg - wife Mary land bought of Raman Ennis and Joshua 
Pope and land formerly granted William Barnes, unmarried daughters, 
Sarah, Mary, Ann, Martha and Lucy; son Samuel under age; son Thomas land 
adjoining John and Andrew Pope; Henry Edmunds; Charles son of Henry 
Edmunds, son Howell land bought of Benjamin Williams; son William land 
in Halifax County, N. C., son John land bought of James Craven in 
Northampton County, N. C.; daughter Elizabeth Williamson cash loaned 
Stephen Williamson, granddaughters, Nanney and Elizabeth Williamson; 
negroes left daughters, Martha and Lucy and Thomas, William and John; 
the aforesaid children are to be under the direction and care of my son 
Thomas without the formality of a guardianship.  Exrs., son Thomas and
