SOUTHAMPTON COUNTY, VA - WILLS AND ESTATES - Benjamin Edwards, 7 Dec 1795

IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN, I Benjamin Edwards being in a low state of health but
of sound memory and knowing it is once appointed for all men to die do ordain
this to be my last will and testament.  After giving my soul to Him that gave
it to me, do give my worldly goods in the following manner:

My will and desire is after my just debts are paid that I give unto my nephew
Benjamin Blunt my young bay horse, to him and heirs forever.

The remainder of my estate I desire to be equally divided between my brothers
William Edwards' children, Richard Edwards' children, my sister Elizabeth
Edmunds' children & Ann Blunts' children, to them and their heirs forever.

I also constitute and appoint my brothers William Edwards & Richard Edwards 
Executors to this my Last Will and Testament.

WITNESS MY HAND and seal this seventeenth day of December one thousand seven 
hundred and ninety five.

in presence of:

Richard Blow
John T. Blow, Jr.
William Blow

               At a Court held for the County of Southampton
                      the 15th day of May 1797

This Will was presented in court by Richard Edwards, one of the Executors
therein named, prov'd by the oaths of Richard Blow, John T. Blow, Jr, William
Blow, the witnesses thereto and order'd to be recorded and on the motion of
the said Executor who made oath according to law, Certificate is granted him
for obtaining a Probat in due form giving security whereupon.
