It appears that Ann Thorp remarried (to John Ferguson who died 3 July 1778) after the death of her husband Joseph Thorp in May, 1762. The witnesses were John's brothers-in-law. Jesse and Burrell Barrett were half-brothers to Charity. Burrell, a Christian preacher, was the husband of John Thorp's sister Lucy Thorp. Keeton (Keyton) Everitt (Evert) was the husband of Charity's sister Betsy Barrett. Edmond Barrett and Mollie Barns were the parents of Charity Barrett who m. John Thorp, Nannie Barrett who m. Bill Newsum, and Betsy Barrett who m. Keyton Evert (according to old family records.) Edmond and his 2nd wife Jennet had four sons Burrell, Jordon, Ben and Jesse. --------------------------------------------- Submitted by Margaret Van Ness Nelson mvnelson@ix.netcom.com ************************************************************************ USGENWEB ARCHIVES NOTICE: These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by any other organization or persons.
