SOUTHAMPTON COUNTY, VA - WILLS AND ESTATES - Ephraim Faircloth, 1 Sep 1802

Will: Ephraim Faircloth, St.Lukes Parish, Southampton Co, VA (1802)

IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN, I Ephraim Faircloth of the County of Southampton and
Parish of St. Lukes, do make and ordain this my last will and testament as
follows, to witt:

Item: I give and bequeath to my loving wife one bed and furniture, to her and
her heirs forever.

Item: I give and bequeath to my daughter Charlotte one bed & furniture, to her
and her heirs forever.

Item: I give and bequeath to my son Cordy, one black colt, to him & his heirs
forever.

My will & desire is that my just debts and funerell expences be paid out of my
estate and the residue of my whole estate, not above mentioned, I give to my
wife, to her and her heirs forever.  And further, my will and desire is that
my wife keep the rest of my children on the profits of my estate.

And I do appoint my friend Bailey Barnes and Collin Barnes my whole and sole
Executors of this my Last Will and Testament.

IN WITNESS whereof I have hereunto sett and affixed my hand and seal this 1st
day of September in the year of Lord one thousand eight hundred and two.

               At a Court held for the County of Southampton
                      the 18th day of October 1802

This Will was proved by the oaths of Henry Blunt and John Barrow, two of the
witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded - and on the motion of Bailey
Barnes, the Executor therein named who made oath according to law, Probat is
granted him in due form on giving security, whereupon &c.
