In the name of God amen  I Ann HARRIS of the County of Southampton and State of 
Virginia being of Sound mind and memory do make and ordain this my last Will and 
Testament in manner & form following 
Imprimis  My will and desire is that the amount of the debt I owe to Newit 
HARRIS should be paid out of the money due me from Stith NICHOLSON 
Secondly  I give the balance of the before: mentioned debt due me from Stith 
NICHOLSON to my Grand.Children Martha M. BANKS; James BANKS and Benjamin H BANKS 
to be Kept at interest untill Benjamin H. BANKS shall arrive at the age of 
twenty one years to them and their heirs forever 
Thirdly  I desire that the balance of my Estate of whatever nature or Kind 
should be Sold, and out of the pereced ['proceeds'] thereof first pay my funeral 
expenses and all my other Just debts and the balance if any arising out of Such 
Sales I give to my Grandchildren Ann V. CAPELL  Howell J CAPELL and Elizabeth H. 
CAPELL to them and their heirs forever 
Lastly  I Constitute and Appoint Henry APPLEWHITE and William JUDKINS Executors 
to this my last will and Testament revoking all others heretofore by me made 
In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand affix'd my Seal this 14.th day of 
February 1823

At a Court held for the County of Southampton on the 17.th day of March 1823 
     This Will was presented in Court  proved by the oaths of Miles HORN and 
Robertson CAPELL the witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded
