SOUTHAMPTON COUNTY, VA - WILLS AND ESTATES - Henry Hart, 17 Aug 1792

Will: Henry Hart, Southampton Co, VA (1792)

IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN, the seventeenth day of August one thousand seven
hundred & ninety two, I Henry Hart of the county of Southampton do make
and order this my last will & testament & for what tempil (temporal) estate it 
hath pleased God to bestow on me, I dispose of in form & manner following:

Imprimis: I give to my son Benjamin Hart the plantation whereon I now live
containing one hundred & ten acres more or less to him & his heirs forever.
Likewise, I give to him one mare & one feather bed & furniture & one negro 
named Cate after the death or marriage of his mother, he is to possess the
mare & feather bed at my death.

I give to my two daughters Elizabeth Hart & Ann Hart each of them a feather
bed & furniture at my death.  I lend the residue of my estate to my well
belov'd wife Lucy Hart during her widowhood.

Item: At her death or marriage to be apprais'd & equally divided by the
appraisment between my three children Benjamin, Elizabeth and Ann. 
 
I likewise appoint Joseph Hart Sr & my son Benjamin Hart my hole & sole
Executors of this my Last Will & Testament the day & year above written.

               At a Court held for the County of Southampton
                      the 12th day of September 1793

This Will was presented in court by Joseph Hart Sr & Benjamin Hart, the
Executors therein named & prov'd by the oaths of Robert Hart and John
Hart, two of the witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded, and on
the motion of the said Executors who made oath according to law, Certificate
is granted them for obtaining a Probat therein due form giving security
whereupon &c.
