SOUTHAMPTON COUNTY, VA - WILLS AND ESTATES - Elisha Hitton, 1 Dec 1788 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- IN THE NAME OF GOD Amen, I Elisha Hitton of the county of Southampton being weak in body tho of sound and disposing mind and memory & wishing to prevent disputes in my family about my estate after my death do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following, to wit: My will and desire is that all my just debts be paid. I give and bequeath unto my grand daughter Patsy Hitton, daughter of Ann Hitton, the tract and parcel of land whereon I now live, the unnmibtled? right to be made her by by Mr. Etheldred Taylor in a deed which said land I give to my grand child Patsey Hitton and her heirs forever. I give all the residue of my estate both real and personal not heretofore bequeathed to be equally divided between my three children (to wit) Siah Hitton, Randolph Hitton & Ann Hitton, which estate I give to them and their heirs forever. And lastly, I do appoint my friends Mr. Arthur Turner and Mr. Benjamin Barham Jr Executors to this my Last Will and Testament hereby revoking all other Wills by me heretofore made. IN WITNESS whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this first day of December one thousand seven hundred and eighty eight.
