In the name of God Amen  I Robert JOHNSON of Southampton County being in 
Sound & perfect since and Remembers- I give & because my soul to the 
almighty God who gave to me  to be buried in a Christey manner by my 
Executors it is my desire  I give and because to my son Robert JOHNSON 
120 acres of land that I Poght of James KITCHEN & 1 Cow & Calf & heafer 
& 1 feather bed and Fortude 2 Yoes & Lames and 2 Young Sowes & 1 Gun and 
1 Mare Saddle and Bridle:  I give and because to my Daughter Sarah 
JOHNSON 1 Cow & Calf & 2 ewes & I give and because to my daughter Seley 
JOHNSON 1 Feather bed and Fortude and 1 Linnen Wheal  I give and because 
to my Daughter Ann JOHNSON one feather bed & fortude 1 Ewe and Lam  I 
give and because to my Daughter Martha JOHNSON 1 Cow and Calf  I give 
and because to my Grand Kinchen JOHNSON L1..5.. to be paid to him at 20 
years Old  I give & because to my Grandson Edmom JOHNSON 5/  I give and 
because to my daughter Mary DOYELS 5/  I give and because all the Rest 
of my worldly estate to my well belove wife: Martha JOHNSON to be at her 
disposing during of her life or widowhood and afterwards to my son 
["Robert" struck out] Britain to him forever & I appoint my sons Rob 
JOHNSON & Council JOHNSON to be my hole Executors of this my Last Will 
and Testament  Sep: 14 day 1772

At a Court held for the County of Southampton the 12 De~72
     This will was presented in Court by Council JOHNSON one of the 
Executors therein named proved by the oath of Joseph BRADSHAW and Hardy 
DOYEL two of the witnesses thereto and ordered to be record'd  And on 
the motion of the s.d executors who made oath according to Law 
Certificate is granted him for obtaining a Probat thereof in due form 
giving Security whereupon &c
