All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ Elizabeth JOYNER (abt 1810-1827)(dt/o Joseph Joyner (abt 1760-1818), will dated 13 Feb 1827, recorded 21 May 1827 In the name of God Amen I Elizabeth Joyner of the county of Southampton and the state of Virginia being sick and weak of Body but of sound and disposed memory thanks be to God for the same do make and constitute this my last will and Testament in manner and form as followeth to wit: first I recommend my soul to God who gave it, my body to the earth to be buried in a christian like manner at the discretion of my Executor and as to my worldly goods that it has pleased God to bless me with I dispose of them as follows. I give and bequeath unto my sisters Patsey Joyner, Mason Joyner and Jinsey Joyner all my right, title, claim Interest that I have to four negroes namely Quinny, Parker, Jack, and Sam bequeathed to us by Joseph Joyner decd. to them and their heirs forever and I the said Elizabeth Joyner this my last will and Testament revoking other former wills made by me. In witness my hand and seal this thirteenth of February in the Year of our Lord and saviour Eighteen hundred and twenty seven.
