I Martha Joyner of the County of Southampton in the State of Virginia being in Sound mind and memory do Constitute this my last Will and Testament. In the following manner to wit: I give and bequeath to my Sisters namely Mason Joyner and Jane Joyner all my right title claim and interest that I have in four negroes namely Quinny, Parker, Jack and Sam, also the balance of my property to them and their heirs forever. I the said Martha Joyner do make my friend Mason Joyner my whole Executrix to this my last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 28th day of March 1833. Martha (hermark) Joyner (seal) Signed sealed and acknowledged in the presence of Teste Davis Barrett Edge (hismark) Joyner At a court held for the County of Southampton the 15th day of April 1833. This last Will and Testament of Martha Joyner decd. was proved by the oath of Davis Barrett and Edge Joyner the Witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded. Martha gave sisters Mason and Jane her four negroes and made Mason executor of her will. Mason gave the same negroes to sister Jane and made her executor of her will.
