All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ Mason JOYNER (abt 1820-1833)(dt/o Joseph Joyner (abt 1760-1818), will dated 24 Apr 1833, recorded 16 Sep 1833 In the Name of God Amen I, Mason Joyner, of the County of Southampton in the state of Virginia being in sound mind and memory do Constitute this my last Will and Testament in the following manner to wit: I give and bequeath to my sister Jane Joyner all my right title claim and interest that I have in four negroes namely Quinny, Parker, Jack & Sam & also the balance of my property to her and her heirs forever. I the said Mason Joyner do make my friend Jane Joyner my whole Executrix to this my last Will and Testament. In Witness whereon I have set my hand and affixed my seal this 24th day of April Eighteen hundred and thirty three. Barrett At a Court held for the County of Southampton the 16th day of September 1833 This last Will and Testament of Mason Joyner decd. was proved by the oath of Davis Barrett and Benjamin T. Martha gave sisters Mason and Jane her four negroes and made Mason executor of her will. Mason gave the same negroes to sister Jane and made her executor of her will.
