Will: Josiah Johnson, St. Lukes Parish, Southampton Co, VA

IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN, I Josiah Johnson of St. Lukes Parish being weak of
body but in perfect memory, thanks be to God for the same, do make this my
last will & testament in manner & form following (to wit):  I give and
bequeath to my wife Hannah Johnson all that I am possessed with juring
(during) her life or widowhood and then to be equally divided between all my
children.

My desire is that my estate shall be inventoried not to be appraised.

               At a Court held for the County of Southampton
                      the 13th day of June 1793

This Will was proved by the oaths of Nemit Claisd & Nancy Johnson, two
of the witnesses thereto, and ordered to be recorded and on the motion 
of Hannah Johnson who made oath according to law, Certificate is granted
him for obtaining letters of administration in due form giving security
whereupon &c. &c.
