SOUTHAMPTON COUNTY, VA - WILLS AND ESTATES - James Jones, 13 Aug 1787 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN I James Jones of Southampton County being of perfect mind and memory do hereby constitute and make this my last will and testament and dispose of my worldly estate as followeth: First, I give and bequeath to my son James and his heirs forever my negro fellow named Ned. Secondly, I give the use of all the remainder of my estate to my wife Lucy during her widowheed & afterward to be equally divided amongst my following children, namely: James Jones, Jordan Jones, Anselm Jones, Lucy West, Molly Kitchen and Rebekah Sebrell by being set to the highest bidder amongst themselves.
