Will In the name of God Amen I John LUNDY of Southampton County being very sick and weak of Body but am in hopes of mind sufficient to make and ordain this my last Will and Testament that is to say- First I give and bequeath to my Sons Peyton LUNDY and John LUNDY all my Lands to be equally divided between them but my desire is that my beloved wife Edith LUNDY should have the use of any Part of said Land during her natural life- Item I lend to my Daughter Nancy RIVERS during her life the use of two Negroes to Wit: Cuby and Mary and at her death my desire is that the said Negroes to be equally divided between her then Surviving Children- Item I give to my Son Peyton LUNDY one Negroe Girl Named Lucy and a Horse Called Jacks Colt to him and his heirs forever- Item I give to my Son John LUNDY one Negro Girl Named Silvyand a Bay filly to him and his heirs forever- Item I give to my Daughter Elizabeth LUNDY one Negroe Girl Named Hannah to her &c.: Item I give to my Daughter Pattey LUNDY one Negroe Girl Named Rachel to her &c: Item I give to my Daughter Claremon HOLT LUNDY one Negroe Girl Named Grace to her and her heirs forever- Item My desire is that my Negroes Fillis and her Child Lewis be sold by any Executors in order to assist the Payment of my Debts Item I give and bequeath to my beloved Wife all the residue of my Estate (after my just debts are Paid) in order to enable her to maintain and School my Younger Children and for her to dispose of the same at her death as She thinks Proper Provided it is done for the benefit of my aforesaid Children or any of them I do Nominate and appoint my friends Buckner WITTEMORE and John ROGERS Ex'or: and my Wife Edith LUNDY Executrix of this my last Will and testament revoking all others hereafter [sic] made by me In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Twenty Eighth Day of July one thousand Seven hundred and Eighty Nine- John LUNDY *seal* his mark Signed Sealed and Delivered} in Presents of } John ROGERS John BERRYMAN J.r David JOHNSON + his mark At a Court held for the County of Southampton the 10:th day of Dec.r 1789.
