SOUTHAMPTON COUNTY, VA - WILLS AND ESTATES - Thomas Laurence, 12 Feb 1791 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Will: Thomas Laurence Southampton Co, VA IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN I Thomas Lawrence of the County of Southampton being of sound and disposing mind and memory, thanks be to almighty God for the same, but calling to mind the uncertainty of this life and knowing that is appointed once for all men to die, do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following: Imprimis: I give and bequeath unto my daughter Rhoda Lawrence one feather bed to her and her heirs forever, which she has already received and now has in possession. Item: I give and bequeath unto my daughter Susannah Lawrence one feather (bed) to her and her heirs forever. Item: I give and bequeath unto my son William Lawrence one feather bed, any working cloaths, one horse, bridle and saddle and two guns to him and his heirs forever. Item: I leave the use of my land and plantation equally to my beloved wife Margaret Lawrence and my son William Laurence to him and his heirs forever. Item: I leave all the rest of my estate of what nature or kind soever to my beloved wife Margaret Laurence and my son William Laurence during the natural life of my said wife and after her death for the same to be sold and equally divided between the children of my deceased daughter Elizabeth; and all the rest of my children but for the share of my said daughter Elizabeths children to be kept in the hands of my said son William Laurence untill they shall come of lawful age. Lastly, I appoint my beloved wife Margaret Laurence and my son William Laurence Executors to this my Last Will and Testament revoking and disannuling all former Will or Wills by me hiterto made and allowing this and no other to be my Last Will and Testament.
