Story and Joseph C. Scott being sworn and Alfred Ricks being affirmed say that on the 18.th day of March 1839 at the house of Joseph Pretlow now deceased in the County of Southampton and in the last sickness of the deceased the said Joseph Pretlow called upon and requested them to take notice and inform. the Court of Southampton that he wished his wife to pay what debts were owing by him and keep what property there was without having any sale and that, that was his will, that the same was reduce to writing on the 26.th of March 1839. Whereupon it is the opinion of the Court that the said statement be recorded and established as the nuncupative. Will of the said Joseph Pretlows deceased _ [entry end] [At a Court held for the County of Southampton on the 20.th day of May 1839-] Elliott L. Story and Joseph C.
