SOUTHAMPTON COUNTY, VA - WILLS AND ESTATES - Mary Pritlow, 28 Jul 1792

I Mary Pritlow of Southampton County being sound in mind & memory do hereby
make and ordain this to be my last will & testament in manner &* form
following (viz):

First, I give and bequeath to Ann Ricks, wife of Robert, ten pounds cash.

Second, I give & bequeath to Rebeccah Hunnecutt, widow of James Hunnecutt,
deceased, ten pounds cash.

Third, I give and bequeath to Sarah Bailey, wife of Samuel Bailey, ten pounds.

Fourth, I give & bequeath to the monthly meeting of friends at Black Water
ten pounds.

Fifth, I give and bequeath to Barnaby Micon of Prince George County ten
pounds.

Sixth, I give and bequeath to Peter Peebles Jr and James Peebles each five
pounds.

Seventh, I give to four young negros now under my care, namely: Lllie,
George, Cala & Charlotte each 2 (looks like 2%, could be 2 shillings or
20 shillings).

Eighth, My will & desire is that all the remainder of my estate may be
equally divided amongst Thomas, Robert, Richard, Joseph, Mary, Milicent & 
Ann Ricks, children of my brother Robert Ricks, and Elizabeth Bailey &
Sarah Bailey, daughters of my sister Elizabeth Scott, dec'd.

I constitute and appoint my nephew Robert Ricks my whole and sole Executor
to this my Last Will and Testament.

IN WITNESS whereof I have hereunto set my hand & fix't my seal this
28 day of July 1792.

               At a Court held for the County of Southampton
                      the 12th day of December 1793

This Will was presented in Ccourt by Robert Ricks, the Executor therein
named (being one of the people called Quakers) and prov'd by the solemn
affirmation of Thomas Pritlow (another of the people called Quakers) and
ordered to be recorded.  And on the motion of the said Executor who made 
affirmation according to law, Certificate is granted him for obtaining
a Probat therein due form giving security whereupon &c.
