SOUTHAMPTON COUNTY, VA - WILLS AND ESTATES - Olive Reese, 15 May 1793 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN, I Olive Reese of Southampton County being weak of body but of sound mind & memory do make and ordain this to be my last will and testament as follows, to wit: I give and bequeath to my son John Reese five shillings current money to him & his heirs forever. Item: I give and bequeath to my son Joseph Reese one feather bed & furniture to his choise but if my said son Joseph Reese should not return to receive it, then said bed to be sold to the highest bidder and the money arising to be divided between my two youngest sons, to wit: Edwin Reese and Lewis Reese. Item: I give and bequeath to my daughter Rebeccah Reese six pounds current money of Virginia to her & her heirs forever. Item: I give and bequeath to my daughter Sylvia Reese six pounds current money of Virginia to her & her heirs forever. Item: I give and bequeath to my two sons Edwin Reese and Lewis Reese all the remainder of my estate of what nature or kind soever or wheresoever found after my debts & other expences & legacys already mentioned are satisfied. My will and desire is the (that) all the said remainder be publickly sold & the money equally divided between my two said youngest sons. Item: And lastly, I constitute & appoint Mr. Benjamin Blunt Jr my whole & sole Executor of this my Last Will and Testament revoking all other Wills by me made heretofore.
