Devany At a Court held the County of Southampton the 20.day of August 1841 This Inventory and appraisement of James Scott Estate was this day returned and ordered to be Recorded. Pretlow who made oath and together with Thomas Pretlow Robert Pretlow and Joseph Pretlow his Securities entered into and acknowledged a bond in the Penalty of forty thou= Sand dollars conditioned as the law directs certificate is granted him for obtaining letters of administration on the estate of Ann Pretlow deceased in due form. - Ordered that John Moore, Benjamin Devany and Jesse Drewry being first duly Sworn before [page break] [in modern pen, p.] 261 a Justice of the Peace for that purpose do appraise all the personal estate of Ann Pretlow deceased and return the appraisement under their hands to Court - On the motion of Alfred L. Bailey who made oath and together with James B. Urquhart . Robert Murray and Richard A. Urquhart his Securities entered into and acknowledged a bond in the penalty of One hundred thousand dollars conditioned as the law directs certificate is granted him for obtaining letters of administration on the estate of James Scott deceased in due form. - Ordered that John Moore, Benjamin Devany, Jesse Drewry and William Poole or any three of them being first duly Sworn before a Justice of the Peace for that purpose do appraise all the personal estate of James Scott deceased and return the appraisement under their hands to Court _ - [...] [At a Court of Monthly Sessions held for the County of Southampton on at {sic}] [the Court house of said County on the 19.th day of February 1844] On the motion of Robert S.
