                 Will 

 In the Name of God amen I Boz. Guin Summerell of the county of So.ton 
being Sick and weak in body but of a disposing mind and memory do make 
and ordain this my Last will and testament as follows _ 
Imprimis )  I lend unto my Loveing Wife Elizabeth during her natural Life 
or Widowhood  the Whole of my estate real personally or mixt and after her death 
or mariage I give and bequeath the Same in the following manner

To my son Thomas Summerell and his heirs for ever  I give and bequeath the house 
I now live in with one half of my Lands thereto adjoining ___ 
To my son William Summerell and his heirs forever I give and bequeath the other 
half of my Lands ___ 
My will and desire is that John Clayton jun.r Joseph Jones William Boykin and 
Henry Branch or any three of them make partition and division of my Lands 
between my two sons before mentioned in case they should disagree ___ 
To my daughter Nancy Bools I give and bequeath a Negro girl named Violet to her 
and her heirs forever on her husbands paying unto my daughter Milly the sum of 
twenty pound Virginia money and in case he should refuse so to do then I give 
and bequeath the said negro girl to my said daughter Milly to her and her heirs 
forever. 
To my daughter Mary and to her heirs forever I give and bequeath a negro girl 
Named Sarah ___ 
To my Son Herod and and to his heirs forever I give and bequeath a Negro boy 
Nam.d Jack 
After the death or marriage of my wife my will and desire is that all the 
remainder of my Estate be Sold by my executors at public auction and the money 
arising from such Sale be equally divided between all my children then living or 
their Representatives ___ 
I do hereby Nominate and appoint my two sons William and Thomas Executors of 
this my last will and and testament revoking all former wills by me made 
In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 1 day of Feb.y 1797

                    At a court held for the county of Southampton the 20.th day 
of October 1800 __  This Will was presented in court by Thomas Summerell one of 
the Exo.rs Named in the will the others refusing_ And haveing been affirmed to 
by Joseph Jones one of the people Called Quakers And the hand Writing of John 
David Houssmann one of the Subscribing witnesses thereto haveing been Sworn to 
and ordered to be recorded ___ On the motion of Said exo.r who made oath 
according to Law Probate is granted him on giveing bond and Security ___
