Samuel Summerell of the parish of Nottoway and County of Southampton though at this time weak and inf -irm. yet of Sound mind do make and Constitue this writing as and for my last will & Testament hereby revoking all former wills or writings hereuntofore by me made ~ First I. recommend my Soul to almighty God fully trusting by the mediation of the universal Saviour that it will [be] received into the mansions of everlasting Bliss my mortal body must be committed to the grave in Sort as my executors in their discretion Shall direct; my worldly possessions which god hath blessed my Industry; I. Give and dispose of as hereafter parti =cularly mentioned Item I. Give to my well beloved Sister Sally Britt One Negro Girl Named Charlotte to her and her heirs forever Item I. Give to my nephew Samuel Britt One Negro Boy Named Jorda =n if If in Case my nephew Samuel Britt Should die without lawful heir, I. give the Said Boy. Jordan to my Niece Lizza Britt to her and her heirs forever Item I. Give to my Niece Lizza Britt one Negro Girl Named Caril if in case my Nephew Lizza Britt Should die without lawful heir I. give the Said Girl Caril to my nephew Samuel Britt to him and his heirs forever. also I. give one feather bed Stead and furniture to me Niece Lizza Britt in like manner & form Item I.
