SOUTHAMPTON COUNTY, VA - WILLS AND ESTATES - Benjamin Stewart, 5 Mar 1794 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN, I Benjamin Sstewart of County of Southampton & state of Virginia being in sound mind and memory do make and ordain this my last will & testament in manner and form following: First, I lend to my beloved wife Lyddia Stewart the use of all my estate both real & personal (during) her life. After her death I give my plantation to my son Henry Stewart to him and his heirs forever. Secondly, It is also my will and desire that after the death of my wife, that all my estate of what kind soever, land excepted, be equally divided between all my children then living and my grandson Charles Stewart. Lastly, I constitute and appoint my wife Lyddia Stewart & my friend Robert Goodwyn Executors to this my Last Will and Testament, at the same time revoking & making nul and void all former Will & Wills by me made. IN WITNESS whereof I havae hereunto set my hand & seal this 5th day of March 1794.
