Wills: Pass Turner, Southampton Co, VA (1791)

IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN, I Pass Turner of the County of Southampton 
being in a weak state of body, tho of sound and disposing mind and
memory, thanks be to God for the same, do make and ordain this
writing my last will and testament, viz:

1st, I lend to my loving wife Ann Turner the entire use and profits
of my whole lands and plantation during her natural life, also 
after paying my just debts, all my other estate of what kind or
quantity soever I lend her for the same term without interruption
for the purpose of raising and educating my children and at her
death I direct tht all my remaining estate, as well lands as
personal be sold and the profits arising be equally divided among
all my children: Polly, Anthony, Rebeckah, John, James and Josiah.

2nd, I make, constitute and ordain my loving wife and two friends
David Barress? and John Johnston my whole and sole Executors of
this my Last Will and Testament and also the guardians of my
children, viz: that altogether or either of acting parties shall
have the management of their education and the passion of binding
them to trad (trade?) as if they shall see fit.

IN WITNESS whereof I have hereunto set my hand and fixd my
seal this 23rd day of March 1791.

This Will was presented by the oaths of Pittancay Johnson, John
Lester, two of the witnesses thereunto and ordered to be
recorded.
