SOUTHAMPTON COUNTY, VA - WILLS AND ESTATES - Henry Turner, 15 Dec 1789 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Will: Henry Turner, St.Luke Parish, Southampton Co, VA IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN I Henry Turner of the County of Southampton and Parish of Saint Lukes being sick and weak of body but of sound mind and memory, thanks be to God for the same, do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in the following manner and form: Item: I give and bequeath to my son Jacob Turner all that tract or parcel of land I now live on containing two hundred acres more or less, begining at the mouth of a branch, a dividing line between Capt. Nicholas Maget and myself, thence up the said branch to the head thence along a line of mark'd trees to another Whiteheads line thence along the said Whiteheads line to the great branch thence down the said branch to the swamp and down the various courses of the swamp to the begining, to him and his heirs forever. Item: I give and demise to dughter Mary Parker five shillings to she and her heirs forever. Item: I give and demise to my grand daughter Patience Turner one heffer to her & her heirs forever. Item: I give all the residue of my estate both real and personal to be equally divided between my son Jacob Turner and all his children that is now living: Henry Turner, Etheldred Turner, Rebecah Turner, Patience Turner, Milly Turner, Susanah Turner, William Turner, to them and their heirs forever. I do hereby appoint my son Jacob Turner my whole and sole Executor to this my Last Will and Testament and do hereby revoke all other Wills by me before made ratifying this and no other to be my Last Will and Testament.
